Role Overview
The Brand and Communications Specialist role supports the Manager of Brand and Communications in driving strategic marketing and communication efforts to enhance The Beer Store's brand and support business outcomes. This full-time permanent position involves managing integrated marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships, promotions, and advertising programs from conception through delivery. Collaboration with internal teams, agencies, and external vendors is critical to ensure brand integrity, compliance, and the achievement of campaign goals. The position is based in Bolton, Ontario, following a hybrid work arrangement requiring at least three in-office days weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and execution of the annual marketing calendar and strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals.
- Leverage marketing strategies and audience insights to design integrated campaigns boosting brand awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate with creative, media, and agency partners to ensure consistent messaging, brand adherence, and effective campaign delivery.
- Contribute to media planning discussions by providing analytical insights to maximize campaign performance.
- Ensure all marketing materials meet brand standards, comply with ASC/AGCO regulations, and receive necessary approvals.
- Oversee the contesting platform including budget oversight, prize management, asset creation, production coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and deliverables to guarantee successful marketing executions.
- Analyze campaign results via KPIs, compile reports, and suggest improvements for future initiatives.
- Coordinate event participation and sponsorships, managing logistics, external partners, budgets, and assets.
- Support marketing budget planning, forecasting, purchase order processing, invoicing, accrual tracking, and variance reporting using SAP.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
- Three to five years of experience in marketing or business roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns on schedule and within budget.
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation, organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience negotiating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SAP software is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is CAD 58,900 to 73,600 annually, with potential for negotiation based on skills and experience.
