Bartender

Role Summary

The Bartender at EDITION Singapore is responsible for preparing beverage orders in accordance with established recipes, handling wine and champagne service, maintaining the bar area and equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and readiness. This position requires operating all payment methods, reconciling cash banks, securing alcohol and supplies, and fulfilling closing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix drinks following precise recipes using standardized measuring systems.
• Serve bottled wines and champagnes appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tables, and tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes and replenish stock including ice, glassware, and paper products.
• Transport supplies to designated bar setup locations.
• Clean used glassware and remove dirty items promptly.
• Forecast and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Process various payment methods accurately and handle end-of-shift cashier duties including counting bank, completing reports, resolving discrepancies, securing receipts and cash.
• Ensure secure storage of alcoholic beverages and bar inventories.
• Execute closing and cleaning responsibilities effectively.

• Adhere strictly to safety and security protocols, reporting incidents and completing required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality regarding company information.
• Engage guests with courteous greetings, anticipate their needs, and provide heartfelt thanks.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Demonstrate teamwork and support colleagues in achieving shared goals.
• Stamina to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Handle items requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, elevated, or slippery spaces and stairs safely.
• Perform physical movements including bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching in various directions.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D).
• Minimum of one year experience in a related bartending role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Licenses or certifications are not mandatory.
