Role overview
Sevenoaks Medical Centre, part of KIMS Hospital, is looking for a caring and proactive Imaging Assistant to join its imaging service on a bank zero-hours basis. This position is based in Sevenoaks and supports the delivery of patient-focused care within a modern private healthcare environment.
The role is rotational and covers both clinical and administrative support across ultrasound, mammography, MRI, CT and other cross-sectional imaging services. The successful candidate will help patients feel comfortable, informed and respected throughout their imaging experience, while supporting safe, efficient and confidential care.

Location: Sevenoaks Medical Centre, TN13 2JD
Contract: Bank, zero-hours arrangement
Pay: £13.20 per hour plus holiday pay
Working pattern: Monday to Saturday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm
What you will do
- Assist patients before, during and after imaging procedures, helping them stay comfortable, reassured and treated with dignity and privacy.
- Support radiologists, radiographers, mammographers and the wider imaging team during diagnostic and interventional work such as biopsies, aspirations, FNAs, ultrasound-guided injections and mammography stereo procedures.
- Provide practical support during MRI and CT sessions so patient movement is smooth and imaging lists run efficiently.
- Handle Compucare, RIS and PACS records accurately and securely, keeping patient information current and confidential.
- Promote infection control, help maintain a clean and well-stocked environment, and follow KIMS policies and procedures while contributing to continuous improvement.

Essential requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in health and social care, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Imaging Assistant in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
- A compassionate, patient-centred attitude with a strong commitment to quality care.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities, plus the confidence to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable experience
- Familiarity with radiology processes and systems such as RIS, PACS and Compucare.
