Role Overview

As a Baker at Safeway, every day brings new opportunities. You will be passionate about creating a variety of baked goods including breads, cookies, pastries, elegant desserts, and cake decorations. Working with equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and proofers, you'll produce items that meet top standards of freshness, quality, and safety. Beyond baking, you'll also maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked display cases and shelves to enhance the customer experience. Your enthusiasm for baking coupled with excellent customer interaction skills will play a key role in delighting customers and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, cookies, pastries, and decorated cakes with precision and care.
• Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, slicers, and proofers efficiently.
• Ensure all products comply with quality, freshness, and safety standards.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of display cases and inventory shelves.
