About The Team
We have an international, agile team seeking a driven individual to join as a Quality Engineer focused on avionics. If you want to help reshape New Space and space travel, you have found the right opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Establish and scale an effective avionics Quality Management System to assure dependable, consistent production of flight hardware and support certification processes.
- Enhance supplier quality by qualifying, auditing, and developing partners to guarantee steady delivery of top-quality electronic components and assemblies.
- Lead First Article Inspections and approval processes to enforce rigorous validation standards throughout the supply chain.
- Manage production quality across all stages including incoming inspection and final integration, ensuring early detection and lasting prevention of defects.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances through structured root cause analysis methods such as 8D, 5-Why, and FMEA, to reduce recurrence and increase system reliability.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in developing and enhancing quality systems in manufacturing or production settings.
- Background in maintaining quality standards within highly reliable or regulated sectors like aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical.
- Skilled in supplier management including audits, qualifications, and driving performance improvements.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with expertise in root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Fluent English communication skills for effective teamwork in an international engineering environment.
Desirable:
- Practical knowledge of electronics manufacturing or cable harness assembly.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS9102, or ECSS.
- Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) concepts.
- Educational or professional background in avionics, electrical engineering, or aerospace systems.
