Overview
Nua Healthcare Services, a prominent care provider in Ireland, offers diverse services including Residential, Supported Living, Day Services, and Community Outreach aimed at both children and adults with complex needs. This opportunity is based in Meelin, County Cork, Ireland.
Job Purpose
The role focuses on delivering compassionate and high-quality care to individuals supported by Nua Healthcare, promoting the achievement of personal goals and meaningful engagement through tailored support plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with their daily activity plans.
- Support service users during community engagement activities.
- Facilitate educational and skill-building opportunities to help individuals achieve personal milestones.
- Provide assistance with everyday living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointment attendance, and supporting family visits.
- Comply with all relevant company policies, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in a practical and reasonable manner.
- Participate in shift work covering 24 hours across 7 days weekly.
Requirements
- No formal qualification is required for Assistant Support Workers; all essential training will be delivered by Nua Healthcare.
- Social Care Workers should hold a Level 7 or 8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related field and be registered with CORU.
- Life experience relevant to care is preferred but not mandatory.
- A motivated and positive work approach, with a strong passion for supporting individuals.
- Possession of a full driver's license or actively pursuing one is necessary.
