Job Overview
This role invites recent graduates or motivated candidates passionate about property management to join the Occupier Services Team. The team supports a varied portfolio serving notable commercial brands, government bodies, and leading organizations across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operational management of a property portfolio and implement strategies to lease vacant spaces effectively.
- Support lease administration activities, including rent reviews and overseeing rental invoice processing and collections.
- Coordinate reactive and scheduled maintenance, ensuring properties meet high standards and compliance requirements.
- Stay informed and comply with regulatory frameworks such as Building Warrant of Fitness certifications.
- Prepare monthly client reports, participate in meetings with Property Managers, and present insights from the reports.
- Collaborate with Directors and cross-functional teams such as Facilities and Finance to develop and monitor property budgets.
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and local government authorities.
- Provide administrative assistance to senior management and support strategic property management decisions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a property-related qualification or at least three years of relevant industry experience; willingness to acquire a Salesperson Certificate from REINZ if not already held.
- Strong knowledge of lease management, negotiation techniques, and data structuring, coupled with proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and effective time management to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- High attention to detail, adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances.
- Self-driven, proactive, and committed to learning and mastering property management systems.
