About the Role

As the Assistant Manager - IT Operations at Six Flags Qiddiya City, you will oversee the daily IT functions to ensure that all technology platforms supporting the park operate securely, efficiently, and without interruption. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating technical support, resolving hardware and software related problems, and managing a responsive IT team in a fast-moving operational setting.

This role demands readiness to support a 24/7 business environment, including working in shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays. You will be responsible for executing and monitoring IT security policies, sustaining optimal system performance, and ensuring the timely rollout of hardware, software, and POS systems that are vital for guest and retail operations.

You will collaborate closely with senior IT leaders, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure dependable IT services, support key IT projects, enforce compliance with policies and standards, and contribute toward the overall achievement of large-scale entertainment operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the IT Operations team for high performance and accountability.
  • Monitor system performance proactively, troubleshoot issues promptly to reduce downtime across IT infrastructure.
  • Support shift-based operational environments including night and weekend shifts as well as holidays.
  • Oversee IT security implementations such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, and backup solutions.
  • Maintain and support POS systems essential for park, retail, and hospitality operations.
  • Administer IT service desk operations ensuring rapid and efficient incident resolution.
  • Utilize ITSM platforms (preferably ServiceNow) to track incidents, changes, and service metrics.
  • Coordinate installations, upgrades, and hardware/software lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to deliver IT solutions promptly.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and business standards.
  • Keep detailed and accurate documentation of IT systems, user manuals, and network diagrams.
  • Participate in IT projects including infrastructure updates, system migrations, and technology adoptions.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify enhancement opportunities and assure compliance with industry norms.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on IT performance, incidents, and resource usage for senior management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in IT operations, preferably in entertainment, hospitality, retail, or large-scale operational settings.
  • Experience supporting operational IT environments including shift work, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of IT infrastructure elements such as networking, servers, and system administration.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Deep understanding of IT security practices including firewalls, encryption, antivirus, and backups.
  • Proven capability in managing IT initiatives such as system upgrades and deployments.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management tools, with preference for ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Exhibited strong problem-solving and decision-making skills along with accountability and ownership.
  • Excellent communicator capable of engaging with business stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Exemplify core attributes such as self-fulfillment, team collaboration, entrepreneurial drive, and business acumen.
