Overview
We are seeking motivated leaders to join Starbucks as Assistant Managers. This role offers a unique chance to influence the brand’s future while delivering excellent customer experiences and driving commercial success. Assistant Managers at Starbucks take full responsibility for operational standards, partner engagement, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts with a focus on achieving commercial results and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage KPIs including labour efficiency, waste reduction, and sales outcomes.
- Ensure shift deployment aligns with planned roles and routines, making adjustments to enhance customer experience.
- Monitor partner performance through coaching and feedback to foster growth.
- Celebrate partner achievements both during and after shifts.
- Serve as duty manager when assigned, accountable for operational and partner decisions during shifts.
- Maintain and uphold brand and operational standards consistently.
- Utilize financial and operational data to make decisions improving shift performance.
- Train and mentor partners to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Lead the implementation of new store initiatives and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and security protocols.
Working Hours
Hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays due to the nature of retail store operations.
Training
All retail store partners begin with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers, designed to immerse new employees into Starbucks culture and prepare them for success. Training includes on-the-job learning supported by managers.
Eligibility and Experience
Successful candidates will have prior experience leading teams in fast-paced, customer-centric retail or hospitality settings. They should embody our mission and values while demonstrating commercial insight and ability to translate data into actionable priorities. A growth mindset and eagerness to advance in leadership are essential.
