Area Manager, Quick Commerce

Role overview

Amazon is looking for an Area Manager to oversee Quick Commerce hub operations covering dry grocery and perishable categories. The position focuses on four main priorities: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for hub performance, budget control, team development, and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination.

The role is based only in the Bengaluru outskirts area.

What you will handle

You will be responsible for the complete functioning of the hub, including operational planning, people development, vendor management, and delivery against business targets. The role also involves working with 3PL partners to ensure service levels are met across inbound, outbound, ICQA, and FC Dock activities.

You will lead and grow a team made up of third-party Area Managers and Team Leads, help them improve performance, and build a strong leadership pipeline within the hub. The position also calls for close coordination with supporting teams such as HR, Finance, Facilities, Security & Loss Prevention, IT, and Operations leadership to secure resources and deliver projects.

Process and performance focus

The Area Manager will create staffing plans and work schedules, drive process and quality improvement efforts, and support change initiatives that help the hub achieve its goals. Clear performance expectations must be set for 3PL partners, results must be tracked, and corrective feedback must be provided where needed.

This role also requires identifying effective practices and sharing them across teams, shifts, and the wider network. In addition, the Area Manager must be able to address operational challenges and people-related issues in the assigned area quickly and effectively.

Basic qualifications

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in employee and performance management. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required, or alternatively, at least 2 years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean methods.
