About the Company
Our client is an expanding architecture firm based in East Texas that is dedicated to designing healthy and inspiring environments for both commercial and residential projects.
Position Overview
This full-time role is on-site in East Texas and involves leading and coordinating architectural projects from initial concept through to completion. You will be responsible for producing and managing detailed construction documents using AutoCAD, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and guiding projects through the phases of permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage architectural projects from concept development through construction completion.
- Create detailed construction drawings independently using AutoCAD.
- Oversee and review the work of assistant project managers and drafters to ensure quality.
- Navigate projects through permitting and bidding processes, including liaising with city officials.
- Support construction administration activities, including handling requests for information (RFIs) and resolving field issues.
- Maintain direct communication with clients, managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and track project timelines and basic budgetary parameters.
Required Qualifications
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in architectural project management.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD capable of independently producing complete construction document sets.
- Experience in managing permitting, bidding, and construction administration phases.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- A professional degree in Architecture or a related discipline is preferred; possessing licensure or being on the licensure track is an advantage.
- Experience supervising or mentoring drafters and assistant project managers.
- An interest in contributing to the growth of a small firm and fostering client relationships.
