Job Overview

Ecobank seeks an Analytics Applications Support professional based in Accra, Ghana, to deliver comprehensive support for analytics and reporting platforms. This role is integral to guaranteeing the availability, accuracy, and prompt issuance of diverse business, financial, regulatory, and management information system (MIS) reports throughout the Ecobank Group. Responsibilities encompass data analysis support, report creation and upkeep, application configurations, user assistance, and operational workflows that underpin sound decision-making and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Create intricate reports within stringent deadlines.
• Offer superior operational and technical support for SAP Business Intelligence applications across Ecobank affiliates and internal business units.
• Lead Problem Management to achieve uninterrupted business operations.
• Implement robust procedures within the Business Reporting and Analysis function.
• Serve as a technical authority for project support.
• Manage production aspects of financial, regulatory, MIS, dashboards, and web intelligence reports.
• Support quality assurance of accounting and regulatory reporting tasks.
• Conduct data reconciliation and MIS reports, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams to secure and optimize the reporting environment.
• Perform scheduled tasks and monitor application health regularly.
• Provide 24/7 production support on a rotating roster, primarily during Mon–Fri 5:30 AM-10:00 PM GMT with weekend duties as scheduled.
• Engage with business and finance teams to identify and fulfill new reporting needs.
• Resolve discrepancies in reports and document business requirements and functional specifications.
• Maintain and enhance reports, ensuring clear identification of parameters and data output.
• Comply with and document Service Level Agreements.
• Assist with resolving balance mismatches and general ledger variations.
• Maintain accurate Remedy Ticket updates documenting status, root cause, resolutions, and relevant details.
• Develop documentation, training materials, and workflows for support activities.
• Proactively monitor and address potential issues before escalation.
• Analyze metrics to identify operational efficiency improvements and collaborate with Technology Team accordingly.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for leadership review.
• Coordinate system change implementations following change management guidelines.
• Support weekend activities such as BCM testing and data center maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3 to 5+ years in DevOps or comparable roles, with demonstrated knowledge deploying and managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Deep familiarity with Ecobank’s data sources, table structures, and data relationships.
• Proficient in reconciliation practices and basic accounting principles.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, especially Excel.
• Keen attention to data confidentiality and security protocols.
• Strong organizational skills with capability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Expertise in operating systems, programming, systems design, and database concepts including SQL.
• Experience with FLEXCUBE corporate database and business intelligence tools, such as BO universes, dashboards, and Web Intelligence.
• Ability to lead issue resolution, conduct root cause analysis, and mentor colleagues.
• Command of Microsoft Server OS, scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell), version control systems (Git), CI/CD technologies (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and security best practices.
