Analyst/Senior Analyst - Private Credit Secondaries

Position Overview

Our client, a private credit secondaries firm based in New York City managing around $3 billion of assets under management, is seeking a skilled investment professional to join their expanding team. The firm invests across a variety of credit-related strategies including private credit secondaries, primaries, co-investments, fund-of-funds, and direct credit and equity investments.

This role focuses on analyzing and executing new investment opportunities, requiring the candidate to lead transaction processes, carry out comprehensive fundamental evaluations, supervise due diligence, and present investment proposals to senior leadership. It offers significant responsibility within a lean, cooperative team environment with regular interactions with senior decision-makers, providing a clear impact on capital allocation and portfolio design.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence, develop financial models, and conduct credit analysis for potential investment prospects.
• Assist in transaction structuring, support documentation efforts, and liaise with legal and external advisors to facilitate deal execution.
• Oversee the monitoring of existing investments by tracking performance indicators and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare detailed investment memorandums and effectively present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Support operational functions including reporting, managing deal pipelines, and maintaining internal databases and documentation.

Qualifications

• Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private credit, secondaries, co-investments, or fund-of-funds sectors.
• Demonstrated strong analytical abilities and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Capacity to operate independently and work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial setting.
