Job Overview
The successful candidate will become part of the Group Planning and Transformation division of Singapore Airlines. This role focuses on supporting the formulation and implementation of key corporate strategy pillars including Portfolio Strategy, Multihub, and New Business. Responsibilities encompass monitoring macroeconomic and competitive market trends, assessing mergers and acquisitions prospects, and aiding in the development of the Group's investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Singapore Airlines Group investment portfolio activities.
- Evaluate strategic partnerships involving airline and non-airline ventures.
- Provide assistance to equity joint ventures and associated airline projects.
- Perform reviews and analyses for investment-linked entities.
- Conduct market and environmental scanning for potential opportunities and evaluate new mergers and acquisitions (M&A) options.
- Track macroeconomic and competitor developments, analyze impacts on Singapore Airlines, and formulate response strategies.
- Contribute to strategic evaluations, including case studies on competitors' financials and benchmarking best industry practices.
- Assist with scenario planning and activities within the strategic planning process.
- Promote synergy and coordination among Group portfolio airlines.
- Support initiatives aimed at optimizing network connectivity, aircraft utilization, operational resilience, and realization of soft-dollar benefits across the Group.
- Drive transformation initiatives within the SIA Group, including organizational-wide adoption of AI technologies and workflow redesign.
Requirements
- Holder of a university degree.
- Possess strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with knowledge of economics and financial modeling.
- Demonstrate sound critical thinking and strategic problem-solving aptitude.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence tools to enhance analysis and narrative development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and well-established internal networks.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and independent worker.
- Adaptable with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Programming skills in Python are advantageous but not mandatory.
