Scope and Responsibilities
- Apply advanced analytical abilities to tackle problems concerning dynamic conditions of engine components using simulation tools such as Pisdyn and AVL Excite.
- Understand core concepts of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) related to engine powertrain parts.
- Execute comprehensive simulations in engineering mechanics and assess the durability of engine powertrain elements.
- Conduct piston dynamics simulations accounting for thermal, vibrational, and structural factors to optimize engine performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams handling design, testing, and manufacturing to integrate improved piston designs into the engine system.
- Perform calculations, identify convergence issues, and develop solutions to technical challenges.
- Analyze data outcomes thoroughly and interpret results to guide the engineering team in decision-making.
- Compile detailed calculation reports summarizing conclusions and recommendations for design or process modifications.
- Initiate and implement advancements in simulation methods and tools to boost precision and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor's degree in NVH, mechanics, computational methods, mechanical engineering, or automotive engineering; master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrate no less than five years of experience in the automotive industry.
Skills and Tools
- Proficiency with Hypermesh, Abaqus, FEMFAT, and piston dynamics tools like Pisdyn or AVL Excite.
- Strong teamwork, excellent presentation capabilities, and a fast-learning aptitude.
