Agile Project Manager Software Development (m/f/d)

We are a young Berlin-based software agency with established roots, formed by merging the development departments of davengo and todo GmbH. Our clients range from commercial enterprises like Relaxound to public authorities such as the Stadtsportbund Potsdam, alongside internal projects. We develop web, mobile, and desktop applications primarily using Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Our tech stack includes tools and frameworks like Spring Framework, Vaadin, React & React Native, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Gradle, Git, and GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle using agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, revise plans as needed, and ensure customer-agreed targets are met.
• Conduct risk management by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks, focusing particularly on resource-related risks.
• Foster a culture of continuous, open improvement within the team through regular feedback and ongoing development.
• Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders, including project status updates and expectation management.
• Active management and refinement of the project backlog and handling multiproject management.
• Ensure deliverable quality via quality assurance and testing management.
• Create and evaluate requirements, solution concepts, and specifications in coordination with project teams and clients.
• Participate in regular meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.
• At least three years of experience leading software development projects with agile methodologies.
• Strong expertise in at least one agile approach (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with related project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive and adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.
• Certifications in agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)) are advantageous.
