Role Overview
Join Skills Group as the Accounts Receivable & Billing Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in our Ellerslie office, Auckland. This leadership role involves guiding a team of three professionals to transform billing and collections processes, enhancing efficiency and creating a customer-centric accounts receivable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three in accounts receivable and credit control functions
- Revamp billing, direct debit, and debt collection workflows to increase customer satisfaction and operational productivity
- Establish standardized procedures, service expectations, and communication channels to guarantee timely and accurate billing
- Track and analyze billing performance, collection rates, and operational metrics, proactively identifying continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and external providers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support revenue growth strategies by enhancing billing accuracy, cash flow management, and debt recovery processes
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years of professional experience in accounts receivable, billing, and credit control roles
- Demonstrated leadership of customer-oriented, high-performing teams
- Strong background in process analysis, mapping, redesign, and execution of operational improvements
- Hands-on experience with managing billing systems and direct debit transactions
- Superior communication skills capable of translating financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving and change management abilities focused on customer success
