Role overview
G4S is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk in Greater Accra Region, Ghana for a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on supporting core accounting operations, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare working spreadsheets and manage monthly journal postings, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments, while making sure each entry is properly approved before it is uploaded to the general ledger.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations as well as reconciliations for inter-regional transactions, and work through any differences until they are fully resolved.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by comparing actual results with planned figures, ensuring templates are loaded correctly, and checking that spending stays within budget and is backed by valid supporting documents.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings and related documentation, including VAT returns and Stats SA forms.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience is needed.
- Having a professional certification will be viewed as an added advantage.

- Strong MS Office capability, especially in Excel.
- Good analytical thinking, planning, and coordination skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and provide support to others.
