Australia Post is hiring an Account Manager to support ecommerce businesses in Perth. In this position, you will act as a trusted adviser to customers across the South West area of Perth, helping them grow by using Australia Post’s parcel delivery and freight solutions. The role is based out of the Welshpool office and includes regular travel to meet customers in person. The team follows a hybrid pattern, with work from home available two days per week and office or on-site days typically on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

This is a commercially focused opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering customer needs, and driving revenue growth through account management and new business development. You will work with B2B, B2C, and international freight offerings, supporting local ecommerce companies as they expand.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts and look for ways to increase revenue and service usage.
  • Identify opportunities to expand freight services and deepen customer engagement.
  • Prepare and deliver joint business reviews with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Review account performance to spot risks, growth opportunities, and commercial improvements.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers by phone, online meetings, and face-to-face visits, building long-term relationships.
  • Develop new business within the portfolio and contribute to growth targets in a competitive ecommerce market.
  • Complete around 10 site visits each week and oversee a customer base of about 35 accounts.
