About the Role

TSSM is expanding rapidly and seeks academic personnel to develop subject-specific courses and resources that uphold high standards and contribute to students' success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and proofread educational content such as course notes, questions, and answers tailored for Units 1 to 4.
  • Develop and refine Trial Examination Papers, Key Topic Tests, and Targeted Evaluation Tasks aligned with school-assessed coursework.
  • Produce and review materials for our Teach Yourself Series, including video presentations covering Units 1 to 4 topics.
  • Deliver live presentations for Head Start and Exam Preparation courses, enhancing student understanding.

Candidate Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with the current syllabus, including assessments and examination requirements for relevant subjects.
  • Ability to explain educational material comprehensively and patiently, ensuring clarity.
  • Strong subject-matter mastery exceeding an A+ academic standard.
  • Capability to teach course content at an advanced level while ensuring accessibility for all students.
  • Focus on student needs within a flexible and supportive learning environment.
  • Willingness to collaborate as part of a team when required.
  • Hold current Australian teaching qualifications with substantial teaching experience.
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic communication tools like email.

Work Commitment and Conditions

  • The role is casual but demands reliability and dedication.
  • Weekly time commitment varies throughout the year, sharing workload with other academic staff who are full-time secondary educators.
  • Advance notice of four to six months is provided for major content development tasks; two months' notice is given before delivering courses and updating materials.
  • Participation in up to two one-hour staff meetings annually, either in-person or via Zoom, may be required.
