Welder

Overview

This role entails executing welding operations within a fabrication setting, assembling metal components securely using diverse welding methods. The position demands precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate and perform installation duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct welding utilizing MIG, TIG, ARC, and oxyacetylene techniques, selecting the proper method based on project needs and material specifications.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and fabrication drawings to establish accurate welding dimensions and placements.
• Prepare metals by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and shaping to meet strict welding criteria.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including gas cylinders and grinders; perform routine checks to ensure equipment functionality.
• Comply rigorously with safety standards, including PPE usage, workspace safety, and fostering safety consciousness amongst colleagues.
• Uphold 5S housekeeping standards and contribute to site installation efforts.
• Detect and resolve welding-related problems promptly to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive records of welding activities, inspections, and materials consumed for quality assurance.

Physical and Behavioral Expectations

• Exhibit physical endurance and flexibility, capable of working in confined or elevated spaces.
• Arrive punctually, avoid unplanned leave, and conduct oneself respectfully, especially when interacting with clients.
• Comply fully with required documentation including ID cards, work permits, and safety gear; non-compliance results in pay deduction.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Applicants may be freshers holding ITI certifications in Welding or Fitting or possess hands-on welding experience. Candidates must be physically fit, adaptable to overtime, and prepared to work at onsite project locations.
