Watchman | Security Guard

Position Overview

This opportunity is for a Watchman / Security Guard based in Al Ain, UAE. The role focuses on protecting the client’s buildings, accommodation, and nearby premises across assigned shifts. The employer will arrange a work visa and relocation support if the candidate is not already local.

Purpose of the Role

The selected person will be expected to stay alert, dependable, and discreet while safeguarding the site. Core duties include regular patrols, observing security systems, spotting risks early, and escalating incidents without delay while maintaining a professional presence at all times.

Qualifications and Licenses

• At least 2 years of prior experience working as a Watchman or Security Guard.
• High school schooling is preferred, though it is not mandatory.

Experience and Skills

• Background in protecting residential, hospitality, educational, or commercial premises.
• Hands-on experience with routine patrols and security checks.
• Ability to notice, assess, and report suspicious activity or safety risks.
• Familiarity with preparing security logs and incident records.
• Knowledge of alarms, lighting controls, and surveillance monitoring.
• Capacity to stay composed and act appropriately during emergencies.
• Good coordination and communication with team members.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent observation and reporting ability.
• Dependable, honest, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical fitness to handle regular patrol duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hourly patrols of the building and surrounding property.
• Keep accurate security logs updated every hour.
• Make sure doors, windows, and all access points are properly secured when the premises are empty.
• Observe security systems, lighting, alarms, and CCTV, and report any faults right away.
• Spot and escalate suspicious individuals, vandalism, damage, or breaches of security.
• Check for and report any signs of attempted unauthorized access.
• Inform management promptly about security issues or incidents.
• Maintain a clear security presence to discourage unauthorized entry.
• Comply with all workplace safety and security procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Compensation and Benefits

The monthly salary is AED 2,250, plus a telephone allowance of AED 100 per month, bringing the total package to AED 2,350 per month.
