About the Role
Our client is in search of a proactive and highly organized Warehouse Manager to direct daily warehouse functions, lead the team, and uphold productivity, safety, accuracy, and service standards. This role suits an experienced warehouse leader adept at managing personnel, enhancing processes, overcoming operational challenges, and stepping into various warehouse duties as needed. The ideal candidate maintains a calm, professional, and solution-oriented demeanor in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order preparation, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory handling
- Ensure achievement of daily targets for productivity, quality, accuracy, and service
- Coordinate warehouse workflows and prioritize tasks based on operational needs
- Monitor staffing levels and redistribute team members to balance workloads
- Assist with warehouse tasks during peak periods or staff shortages
- Guarantee safe and efficient storage, handling, and movement of materials and products
- Analyze operational reports to aid in planning and decision-making
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, coach, and support warehouse team members
- Set transparent expectations and enforce accountability related to performance, attendance, safety, and conduct
- Deliver continuous training, feedback, and coaching to improve team performance
- Cultivate teamwork, professionalism, responsibility, and respectful communication
- Exemplify company values and workplace ethics consistently
- Address staff concerns and operational problems with professionalism and composure
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement enhancements for warehouse productivity, workflow, accuracy, safety, and organization
- Develop, document, and apply new or refined warehouse procedures
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes and adjust as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues
- Utilize reports, performance data, and employee feedback for continuous improvement
- Support inventory control efforts, investigating discrepancies and recurrent issues
Health and Safety
- Ensure all warehouse tasks comply with workplace health and safety standards
- Promote safe material handling practices throughout warehouse operations
- Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment and warehouse machinery
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address hazards
- Assist in incident investigations and follow-up corrective actions
- Operate material-handling equipment safely when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations
- Previous experience in warehouse leadership, supervision, or management roles
- Demonstrated success in initiating and implementing process improvements
- Logistics or distribution experience is advantageous
- Valid Material Handling Equipment certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of starting
- On-site equipment training available as needed

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work occurs in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- May assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling duties
- Requires ability to stand and walk for long durations
- May involve bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials
- Must be comfortable working around forklifts, reach trucks, and warehouse equipment
- Capability to manage shifting priorities and operational demands calmly and effectively
