About the role
Join DFDS as a Warehouse Reworker in Rathcoole, South Dublin, and become part of a business that supports vital logistics activity across Europe and beyond. This is a full-time onsite position working Monday to Friday on the 14:00–22:00 shift.
In this role, you will help protect product quality and keep warehouse activity moving smoothly by checking, repairing, cleaning, relabelling, repackaging, and reworking goods so they meet the required customer and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Examine returned, damaged, or non-compliant items and spot quality concerns.
- Carry out rework tasks such as cleaning, relabelling, repackaging, repairing, or reassembling products as needed.
- Make sure all items are safe, compliant, and ready for release before they leave the rework area.
- Keep accurate logs of rework activity and highlight repeated defects or issues.
- Use warehouse equipment safely and support stock handling and inventory processes.
- Maintain clean, tidy, and health-and-safety-compliant work areas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing setting and be confident working to standard procedures and quality requirements. Experience in inspection, rework, quality control, or order fulfilment would be an advantage.
You should be highly detail-oriented, organised, numerate, literate, and able to work toward productivity goals. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, handheld scanners, or material handling equipment is useful but not essential.
Success in this role also depends on being dependable, adaptable, a strong team player, and willing to learn. The work is physically active and involves lifting, moving, bending, and standing for long periods.
Benefits
- Pension scheme available after successful completion of probation, with possible life assurance cover for scheme members subject to eligibility.
- Holiday purchase scheme that allows you to buy extra annual leave.
- Bike to Work scheme to support commuting and help you stay active.
- HSF Assist employee support services, including GP advice, virtual doctor access, counselling, emotional wellbeing support, and a legal helpline.
- HSF health plan with cashback options on dental care, glasses, and other benefits.
- MyGym discounts across a wide range of gyms, health clubs, leisure centres, outdoor bootcamps, and studios offering activities such as yoga, Pilates, and CrossFit.
- Unlimited free ferry travel for up to four guests between Dover and Calais or Newcastle and Amsterdam.
