Job Overview
As a Warehouse Operator reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will manage all activities related to material handling and inventory movement between the warehouse, production areas, staging locations, and customer sites. Your role supports diverse warehouse functions including receiving, production assistance, shipping, cycle counting, inventory oversight, and system documentation. This position demands physical stamina and some proficiency with computer systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor with processes involving Receiving, Production Support, Shipping, and Inventory Control.
- Handle receiving tasks such as unloading, inspecting, sampling, and storing ingredients, packing materials, and finished goods arriving at the facility.
- Ensure continuous provision of ingredients and packaging materials to production and filling lines to maintain production flow.
- Execute cycle counts, complete inventory reconciliations, monitor transaction records, and resolve inventory discrepancies as they arise.
- Manage accurate online documentation and filing of received goods using warehouse management systems (e.g., QAD, HMM).
- Perform multiple tasks including packing, picking, and receiving concurrently.
- Operate Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) equipment, with prior experience preferred.
- Unload pallets, crates, and cartons from containers efficiently.
- Work in a chemical warehouse environment that handles Class 3 Dangerous Goods and prepares shipments for overseas air freight.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness following Lean methodologies such as 5S, FIFO, and root cause analysis.
- Comply strictly with corporate policies and legal requirements related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
- Carry out other assignments as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of Higher NITEC diploma with at least 2 years of experience in warehouse, freight forwarding, or logistics within the chemicals industry; aerospace experience is a plus.
- Forklift license is preferred.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and a keen willingness to learn.
- Basic computer proficiency is mandatory.
