Job description
Position Overview
Join Murrumbidgee Local Health District as a Wardsperson, contributing significantly to the well-being and dignity of patients. This role supports clinical teams by assisting with essential patient care activities ensuring comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, lifting, repositioning, transfers, and transportation to support clinical staff in patient care.
- Prepare deceased patients for transfer to the mortuary and assist with family viewings when necessary.
- Safely manage the erection, transfer, and removal of beds, bedside equipment, medical gas cylinders, and other required supplies.

- Shows genuine concern for patient comfort and wellbeing, with the ability to respectfully interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Good understanding of infection control and hygiene standards and adherence to protocols.

Additional Information
- This is a permanent position available in full-time, part-time, or casual employment options, with hours up to 38 per week.
