Position Overview

Join Murrumbidgee Local Health District as a Wardsperson, contributing significantly to the well-being and dignity of patients. This role supports clinical teams by assisting with essential patient care activities ensuring comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, lifting, repositioning, transfers, and transportation to support clinical staff in patient care.
• Prepare deceased patients for transfer to the mortuary and assist with family viewings when necessary.
• Safely manage the erection, transfer, and removal of beds, bedside equipment, medical gas cylinders, and other required supplies.

Additional Information

• This is a permanent position available in full-time, part-time, or casual employment options, with hours up to 38 per week.
• Position is located at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and requires onsite presence.
• Mandated NSW Health Category A immunisation and disease screening compliance is required, including OASV and TB assessments.
