Job Overview
As a Visual Merchandiser at H&M located in Canberra, you will play a pivotal role in crafting an engaging and coherent customer journey through the application of visual merchandising standards and fostering commercial success. Core Responsibilities
- Implement visual merchandising, commercial strategy, and styling according to store guidelines and timelines to elevate the customer experience and boost in-store sales.
- Regularly evaluate sales data, manage inventory levels, ensure garment upkeep, and collaborate with Store Management to identify and prioritize both visual and sales opportunities.
- Leverage industry trends and competitor analysis to mentor and develop store staff, enabling them to provide outstanding customer service.
- Maintain a positive representation of both yourself and the H&M brand during interactions with customers.
- Assist the Sales Market team in store expansion initiatives.
Work Environment
Your role will be integral within the vibrant Store Team, comprising Sales Advisors, Department Managers, Store Managers, Visual Merchandisers, Assistant Store Managers, Cash Office Responsible personnel, and Delivery Responsible staff in larger locations. Close collaboration with the broader Area Team will enhance shared learning and collective success. Together, the team encourages customers to feel confident and express their uniqueness through the latest fashion trends and enduring styles, fostering accessibility and sustainability in fashion.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in visual merchandising and commercial strategy within a fast-paced environment, supported by a solution-driven approach.
- Strong skills in analyzing sales metrics and understanding the selling equation to inform decisions.
- A passion for fashion and delivering an exemplary in-store customer experience.
- Motivation to create memorable customer interactions while actively promoting and increasing sales.
- A creative, inquisitive, and proactive nature.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire store teams toward shared objectives.
