About AND THE NEW
AND THE NEW is an acclaimed, social-first marketing agency specialized in strategic marketing for sports, culture, and entertainment brands. We support ambitious rights-holders, teams, leagues, and brands in expanding their reach through platform-native content, innovative creativity, and savvy distribution methods.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Videographer & Video Editor to become part of our expanding and skilled team. The successful candidate will have a creative spark, a knack for going beyond conventional storytelling, and proficiency in both filming and editing social media video content. Experience in live sports or entertainment is highly preferred.
This position involves traveling to various client locations internationally, capturing and editing video from premier sports events such as international motorsport series, rugby matches, Premier League football games, and other brand shoots. A sharp eye for engaging, social-first video content and the ability to work independently to craft compelling client stories is essential.
Key Details
- Full-time in-house position with hybrid working (two days in the London office weekly).
- Based in London, UK. Candidates must be UK-based.
- Ideal candidate has over 2-3 years experience in shooting and editing live events.
- Frequent international travel to global shoots and live events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Capture and edit social media-focused video content live at major sporting events including Supercross, F1, rugby, and Premier League football, as well as brand campaigns.
- Work efficiently during fast-paced, unscripted events without extensive equipment or detailed storyboards.
- Lead pre-production activities such as creating shot lists, defining narrative arcs, and coordinating logistics and equipment needs for controlled shoot days.
- Edit footage on location, often delivering same-day content for rapid publication.
- Perform high-quality grading, editing, and video manipulation across various formats from vertical social clips to longer brand content.
- Customize each edit according to platform-specific performance and trends, adapting content to maximize engagement.
- Analyze content performance data to continually refine future productions.
- Collaborate closely with social media and account teams to align content output with client objectives.
- Report to the Content Production Director and work within the broader content production department.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record as a videographer at live events, particularly sports, demonstrated with an engaging showreel.
- Strong editing skills capable of rapid turnaround without sacrificing quality.
- Experience creating content geared for social channels rather than traditional broadcast or long-form formats.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, familiarity with After Effects, and expertise in color correction and sound design.
- Ability and willingness to manage frequent international travel, including logistical handling of equipment across multiple consecutive shoots.
- A passion for sports, culture, and entertainment, with keen insight into what content resonates on social media.
- Ability to maintain high standards under tight deadlines, willing to work evenings and weekends in accordance with live sports schedules.
- Effective communication skills, comfortable engaging with clients and team members to ask pertinent questions on-site.
What Success Looks Like
Arrive at events prepared with a clear plan, capture pivotal moments flexibly as schedules shift, and complete edits promptly before leaving the venue. Equipment is always set, charged, and ready for the next assignment. Client satisfaction leads to repeat requests by name within six months.
Work Environment
This role fits individuals who are highly autonomous, self-motivated, thrive in fast-moving environments, and derive satisfaction from both excellent shooting and meticulous editing. The ideal candidate is proactive and deeply committed to producing top-tier content.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary ranges from £33,000 to £38,000 annually based on experience.
- 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and birthday off.
- Hybrid work setup with two days weekly in the Central London office.
- Opportunities for international travel to races and significant events.
- Employee lifestyle and discount benefits scheme.
- Annual training budget to support ongoing professional growth and skill development.
- Potential for career progression within a rising, award-winning agency.
