Treasury Officer

Position Overview

Located in Sydney, NSW, this full-time role in the Finance department involves supporting day-to-day treasury and financial operations and reporting to the Finance or Treasury Manager. The Treasury Officer will handle diverse finance tasks including payment processing, cash reporting, and system implementation assistance.

Key Duties

• Execute daily bank payment transactions with thorough verification of accompanying documents.
• Oversee online banking activities and continuously monitor bank account balances.
• Generate daily cash reports and contribute to cash flow forecast preparation.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any exceptions or discrepancies related to payments.
• Support accounts payable through supplier invoice reviews, handling payment inquiries, and allocating receipts appropriately.
• Engage in treasury system testing, assist with data validation, prepare documentation, and provide support during system go-live phases.
• Ensure all financial records are accurately maintained and comply with established internal controls.

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in finance, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting within Australia.
• Knowledge of online banking procedures, payment handling, and bank reconciliation processes.
• High level of numeric accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities combined with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Must have full legal working rights in Australia.
