Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Management Lead to be based in Auckland. This role involves overseeing and organizing traffic management operations for reactive and planned work activities. Collaborating closely with field teams, the lead ensures efficient project planning, resource allocation, securing necessary approvals, and delivering traffic management services with a focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate traffic management efforts for multiple active sites.
• Develop and assess traffic management plans for compliance and effectiveness.
• Liaise with Road Controlling Authorities to obtain necessary approvals and maintain communication.
• Lead daily planning, scheduling, and dispatching of work crews.
• Manage the overall traffic management workload and intake of new jobs.
• Facilitate the adoption and management of the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) model.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with the public and stakeholders.
• Support project delivery commercially through resource planning and financial oversight.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant Engineering qualification.
• Between two and five years of experience in traffic management or related operational roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NZGTTM, CoPTTM, and the Risk-Based Approach (RBA).
• Strong abilities in planning, communication, and coordination.
• Ability to work confidently with diverse teams and public interfaces.
• Possession of a full Class 1 driver’s license.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
