Role Overview

The Technician - Handyman position is a full-time onsite role based in Dubai, responsible for maintaining a portfolio of holiday home properties at top standards. This includes onboarding snagging, routine and preventive upkeep, check-out snagging, and assisting with personal guest check-ins.

Responsibilities

• Carry out onboarding inspections for new holiday homes prior to listing.
• Identify, document, and report defects or incomplete work requiring attention.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance troubleshooting.
• Fix or replace damaged fixtures, locks, furniture, and equipment.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers for snagging completion.
• Support property setup, assembling furniture, installing appliances, and improving units.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections to spot issues early.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and internal teams.
• Keep maintenance equipment and inventory well-managed.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and assist with emergency maintenance when necessary.
• Conduct post-check-out inspections to identify damages and maintenance needs.
• Carry out immediate minor repairs to prepare units for upcoming guests.
• Work closely with housekeeping and operations to ensure smooth turnovers.
• Welcome guests at check-in, provide property orientation including access, smart lock setup, and house rules briefing.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive guest relationship throughout the stay.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2–3 years of experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Technician, ideally in holiday homes, hospitality, or property management.
• Skilled in onboarding snagging, routine maintenance, and check-out snagging for residential or hospitality properties.
• Hands-on expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, drywall repair, furniture assembly, and general upkeep.
• Ability to diagnose and efficiently resolve maintenance problems with minimal supervision.
• Experience conducting inspections, preparing units for guests, and maintaining presentation standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills capable of performing professional guest check-ins and property orientation.
• Familiarity with smart lock systems and basic home automation is advantageous.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks, handling multiple properties, and responding swiftly to urgent repair requests.
• Good command of English communication; additional language skills advantageous.
• Physically fit to perform manual work including lifting and carrying.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively with housekeeping, operations, and contractors.
• Knowledgeable of health and safety standards and compliance.
• Proficient with smartphones and apps for work orders and communication.
• Valid UAE driving license mandatory.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and attend emergency calls as required.
