Role Summary

The Technical Recruiter will play a vital role in scaling Cresta's technical teams, with a strong emphasis on engineering talent acquisition. This position involves end-to-end recruitment activities, collaborating closely with the People team and hiring managers to enhance recruitment processes and establish solid talent acquisition foundations. The role supports a global workforce and requires flexibility to coordinate across multiple time zones in Canada, California, Germany, Romania, and Australia. The position is hybrid, based near Toronto, Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage comprehensive global recruitment for engineering and technical positions, spanning entry-level campus hires to highly seasoned engineers.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment cycle including advertising roles, sourcing candidates, outreach, managing interviews, and closing hires.
  • Design and implement innovative strategies to attract diverse talent across geographies.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with executives and hiring managers to understand and meet talent needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to gain insights into talent requirements and market trends to refine sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain robust and transparent recruitment pipelines, with regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience via proactive communication and follow-ups.
  • Meet ambitious hiring targets within set deadlines while ensuring high quality recruitment outcomes.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to the entire hiring process and related systems.
  • Plan and execute engineering events to boost brand presence and talent acquisition opportunities.
  • Maintain accuracy and hygiene of applicant tracking system (ATS) data; review incoming applications and report on pipeline status.
  • Leverage internal tools to analyze recruitment metrics, pipeline health, and overall process effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-lifecycle technical recruitment across multiple experience levels.
  • Proven record of recruiting top-tier technical talent and closing offers successfully.
  • Active engagement with local tech ecosystems and deep understanding of competitive talent markets.
  • Adept at navigating fast-paced work environments and managing multiple stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong consultative skills with hiring managers, influencing hiring decisions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with capability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive and resourceful problem solver who can pivot strategies in dynamic business settings.
  • Data-driven approach to optimizing recruitment effectiveness, using metrics and analytics.
  • Experience with ATS operations and database management; familiarity with Greenhouse ATS is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
