Job description

Overview

Merative’s Micromedex platform has been trusted globally for over five decades to provide impartial clinical evidence that supports patient safety, clinical efficiency, and organizational performance. This mission-critical clinical decision support tool is used by healthcare providers, poison control centers, government bodies, universities, pharmaceutical companies, and health plans to deliver safe care, advance research, and educate clinicians.

The company is seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong technical insight and leadership skills to manage delivery across three scrum teams. This role focuses on translating priorities into clear, actionable plans, maintaining visibility on dependencies and progress, and fostering structured and accountable delivery management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate the delivery rhythm for three engineering squads, ensuring planning cadence, visibility of dependencies, and accountability for commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to guide requirements through discovery and design phases, estimate technical work, and develop executable delivery plans.
  • Identify and manage risks, blockers, and dependencies early, escalating decisions and trade-offs as needed.
  • Maintain ownership of delivery progress, status updates, risk management, assignments, and necessary actions.
  • Communicate delivery, technical, and security risks to senior stakeholders with clear explanations of impacts, mitigation strategies, responsible parties, and decision points.
  • Leverage AI-driven and agent-based planning methodologies and tools (such as Rovo) to optimize backlog readiness, dependency mapping, sequencing, and execution transparency.
  • Use delivery metrics to promote improvements in throughput, cycle time, predictability, quality, and accountability.
  • Coach teams and product partners in practical Agile methodologies, including estimation, disciplined planning, and delivery follow-up.
  • Coordinate cross-squad planning among teams, services, and external vendors to highlight dependencies early and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Support release planning related to security, maintenance, vulnerability remediation, patching, compliance, and readiness operations.
  • Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to plan releases with minimal disruption to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in technical project management, scrum mastery, delivery management, or a related software engineering function.
  • Proven track record managing multiple Agile teams delivering complex software projects.
  • Experience partnering with product managers through requirements clarification, discovery, design, work estimation, and building delivery schedules.
  • Technical comprehension across UI/UX, APIs, integrations, cloud/platform dependencies, security standards, agentic AI concepts, and release planning.
  • Competence handling risks, dependencies, blockers, deployment rollouts, and executive-level communications.
  • Expertise in capturing and communicating delivery metrics, risks, dependencies, and execution health to stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical architects, product managers, security, DevOps, operations, and vendors.
  • Strong facilitation skills for distributed team environments.
  • Adeptness at converting ambiguous initiatives into concrete, actionable delivery plans.
  • Innovative problem solver capable of proposing practical solutions when delivery pathways are constrained or unclear.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or SAFe accreditation.
  • Background working with healthcare, clinical, regulated, or mission-critical software platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered planning tools, agent workflows, delivery analytics platforms, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Rovo.

Work Environment

Role is based onsite in Ireland. Occasional travel may be required for team alignment meetings, strategic planning workshops, or engineering summits.
