Tagalog Language Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Tagalog Language Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This fully remote opportunity involves translating, localizing, and reviewing Tagalog language content to ensure it is accurate, culturally relevant, and conveys the intended tone. The specialist will collaborate with project managers and other language experts to fulfill project specifications within set deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and localize content from English to Tagalog and vice versa, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
• Review and edit Tagalog materials for clarity, correctness, and adherence to prescribed style guidelines.
• Advise on appropriate Tagalog language use, including idiomatic expressions and regional variations.
• Support the creation and upkeep of language resources such as glossaries and style guides.
• Perform linguistic quality assurance checks and contribute to iterative feedback processes for continual enhancement.

Candidate Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Tagalog combined with excellent English language skills.
• Demonstrated experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while handling several assignments concurrently.
• Comprehensive understanding of Tagalog grammar, spelling, and stylistic conventions.
