Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and manage item records across relevant platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness including descriptions, classifications, units, vendor details, pricing, and more.
  • Regularly audit item data to detect and correct errors, duplicates, or obsolete entries.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of item records from creation to retirement.
  • Support master data management efforts by troubleshooting system issues and aiding enhancements.
  • Engage continually with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and logistics.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing best practices for item master data governance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to optimize demand planning, business growth strategies, and ensure transparency, fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality in processes.
  • Coordinate with international teams to harmonize procedures and reporting standards across regions.
  • Generate analytical reports for Supply Chain management to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and produce accurate forecasts.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Execute duties in line with applicable laws, safety policies, and company best practices.
  • Embody Convergint's commitment to exemplary customer service at all times.
  • Work consistently with team members to enhance operational efficiency of the Convergint Technology Center and the broader company.
  • Maintain current knowledge of company policies and represent Convergint professionally.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration or Purchasing is mandatory.
  • SCMP designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in procurement including various supply chain components is preferred.
  • At least five years’ experience in negotiation and vendor management is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of customer service experience required.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Ivalua, Salesforce, and NetSuite is highly advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in electrical, security, building automation, or fire industries is necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills allowing multitasking across projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Expertise with financial software related to purchase order processing, accounts payable, and inventory management.
  • Strong negotiation and financial acumen including understanding of accounts receivable/payable, purchase orders, and work orders.
  • Robust verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills able to engage various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing priorities, environments, and technology.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced settings.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
