About the Role

This position is focused on managing and controlling the inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts essential for maintaining Air Arabia's aircraft and third-party aircraft. The Stores Controller ensures compliance with company policies and aviation regulations concerning the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of daily-use items including toolkits, spare parts, wheels, batteries, and oils to support both routine and unscheduled maintenance operations.
  • Ensure timely availability and correct placement of all components to facilitate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks and ensure aircraft safety and release.
  • Perform daily inspections of storage areas to verify storage conditions such as temperature, humidity, safety, health compliance, and hazard risks.
  • Organize binning locations and allocate tools and parts according to instructions from management or the AOG desk, maintaining updated records in the AMOS inventory system.
  • Manage AMOS system entries to monitor all receipt, storage, and issue activities, factoring in material shelf life, tool calibration, handover logs, and critical inventory movements.
  • Prepare inventory requirements in advance for ADD/MDD to ensure timely retrieval, adhering to coding standards.
  • Issue required toolkits and spare parts for maintenance jobs on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, maintaining detailed issuance records.
  • Provide inventory and store support as needed to both company and third-party aircraft operations.
  • Ensure tools and equipment remain serviceable; report any unserviceable items and coordinate repairs with relevant vendors.
  • Ensure unused issued parts are returned correctly and credited back into stock per company policy.
  • Regularly prepare stock reports, identify system errors, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist the line manager in upholding safety standards, facility upkeep, adequate storage conditions, communication, and overall store performance.
  • Coordinate logistics for parts delivery and return involving the Air Arabia MRO, outstations, and aircrafts, including handling of engines, APUs, and dangerous goods in cooperation with other departments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A High School diploma, diploma or certificate in a related field is required; a bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of English.
  • Valid driving license applicable to the location.
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the airline industry; experience with low-cost carriers is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of civil aviation regulations concerning tool and equipment acceptance, storage, and issuance.
  • Completion of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of quality assurance and audit processes.
  • Ability to manage data and resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Reliable, self-driven with ownership mindset and enthusiasm.
  • Multi-tasking capability with acute attention to detail.
  • Competent under pressure and hardworking.
  • Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and moving within storage facilities.
  • Ability to contribute towards achieving business goals and key performance indicators.
