Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated STEM Researcher to join a client as a full-time remote employee. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or a master's degree and will be responsible for designing and resolving complex STEM challenges to test the boundaries of large language models (LLMs). The candidate must develop clear, detailed, stepwise solutions with well-explained reasoning to support research objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and solve advanced STEM problems aimed at evaluating the limitations of large language models.
- Produce high-quality, step-by-step solutions with precise and articulated logical explanations.
- Partner with LLM researchers to ensure problem alignment with evaluation goals, focusing on abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
- Assist in establishing new evaluation benchmarks grounded in physics curricula spanning from early undergraduate topics to PhD-level subjects.
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools to enhance analytical skills and adapt to an AI-centric professional environment for future career growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical capabilities founded on comprehensive STEM knowledge, particularly at engineering entrance exam, graduate, or PhD levels.
- Ability to deconstruct challenging STEM concepts into clear, concise explanations.
