Job description
Position Overview
This position is centered on enhancing ground operations by promoting continuous improvements in passenger services, operations planning, and undertaking various operational projects. As a vital member of the Ground Department, you will liaise with airport authorities and Scoot's headquarters to manage forward planning initiatives, ensuring smooth airport functions for Scoot.
Key Functions
- Engage actively in the One Changi Forum by steering multiple projects from their inception through completion and stabilization phases, including Scoot's operations at Terminal 5.
- Collaborate with station teams and the HUB team to facilitate support and transition post-implementation of projects and initiatives.
- Work with Singapore Airlines (SIA), other airlines (OAL), and relevant stakeholders to enhance interline traffic connectivity, thereby supporting the company’s commercial goals and ensuring a seamless transfer experience for passengers at the HUB.
- Enhance on-time performance and customer satisfaction by improving operational processes and customer handling procedures.
- Continuously evaluate existing workflows and processes with involved parties to identify and implement improvements across Singapore and overseas stations.
- Coordinate with Ground Services and Operations to implement agreed-upon procedures effectively.
- Focus forward planning efforts to meet established Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Lead and supervise operational projects across functional and cross-functional teams, including internal departments and external entities such as Changi Airport Group (CAG) and vendors.
- Manage project timelines, responsible deliverables, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring projects are accomplished within defined scope, schedule, and budgets.
- Post-implementation responsibilities include handling the transition to business-as-usual (BAU), monitoring bug fixes and adjustments, and evaluating performance against OKRs.
- Conduct regular station audits in preparation for regulatory audits by CAAS and foreign Civil Aviation Authorities, covering Passenger, Cargo, Dangerous Goods (DG), Safety, and Security aspects.
- Perform frequent inspections, particularly at Indonesian stations; conduct audits at TR stations; and complete checklist reports while liaising with operations heads and ground handling agents concerning any findings.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on conducted audits and inspections.
- Execute any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in Airport Operations.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at various levels.
- Self-motivated with the discipline to work autonomously and focus on meeting planned objectives.
- Adaptable and fast to acclimate to a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Supportive of digital transformation and proactive forward planning.
- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving approaches founded on knowledge.
