Software Engineer

About the Role

Northstar Innovation is looking for a skilled and driven Software Engineer to become a part of our expanding technology team based in the United Arab Emirates. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking software and enterprise technology solutions that support digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, test, and sustain scalable software applications and large enterprise systems.
• Create clean, effective, maintainable code conforming to industry best practices in software engineering.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement quality software products.
• Develop and incorporate RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-native applications.
• Diagnose, debug, and enhance application efficiency, security, and dependability.
• Engage in code reviews, participate in architecture planning, and follow Agile project methodologies.
• Design automated testing frameworks and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Constantly strive to improve software quality, optimize system performance, and refine software development processes.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, C++, or Go.
• Experience using version control tools like Git, designing and consuming REST APIs, and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Preferred experience with containerization tools (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving acumen, and excellent communication skills.
• Capacity to work effectively both independently and within team settings under dynamic, fast-paced conditions.
