Role Overview

Join the PingAccess Software team as a Software Engineer I to contribute to the development of features and updates for a vital platform safeguarding billions of identities for top-tier organizations. You'll work on an advanced identity and access protocol stack with a history of robust enterprise-level deployments. This role suits developers who excel in dynamic, agile environments and possess strong communication skills, translating requirements into effective Java code while focusing on security, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute as an essential member of a high-functioning agile development team.
• Coordinate and communicate with colleagues located in Vancouver, BC, and Denver, CO.
• Work closely with product management to analyze and fine-tune requirements.
• Design new features compatible with existing functionality.
• Estimate and plan development tasks.
• Maintain existing codebases and address defects.
• Collaborate with Software Quality Engineers to develop unit and integration tests.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in the Java programming language.
• Knowledgeable about common Java open-source libraries and development tools.
• Sound understanding of HTTP and TLS protocols.
• Experienced with development tools such as IDEs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, and CloudCode.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn rapidly, work independently, and comprehend complex features and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Front-end development experience using React and Redux/JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web frameworks like Spring and libraries like Jackson.
• Experience with relational databases, JDBC, SQL, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Knowledge of identity management standards and protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate management, and cryptography.
• Understanding enterprise-scale secure system configurations.
• Familiarity with asynchronous networking concepts and Netty.
• Experience using DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Compensation

The salary range for this position in Canada is approximately CAD 70,505 to CAD 88,131. Final remuneration will be based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
