Role Overview
The Social Media Assistant role is a hybrid full-time position based in Adelaide, South Australia, offering flexibility for some part-time remote work. This role supports daily social media operations such as drafting and scheduling posts, helping maintain content calendars, and monitoring audience engagement on social platforms. Collaborating with the marketing team, the Assistant aligns social content with brand messaging, campaigns, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule social media posts across platforms following brand guidelines.
- Assist in managing content calendars to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor engagement metrics and respond to comments or messages as instructed.
- Research current trends to inform relevant content creation.
- Prepare visual and written content assets for social channels.
- Support ad-hoc digital marketing activities when required.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and timely posting schedules.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, including their features and basic analytics.
- Ability to create engaging social media content with attention to brand tone and clarity.
- Experience with social media tools such as scheduling and monitoring software.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and time management skills suitable for a dynamic agency environment.
- Comfort working in a hybrid work model, both in-office and remotely within Adelaide, SA.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles; agency or brand-side experience is favorable.
- Relevant education or training in marketing, communications, media, or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
