Role Overview
We seek a skilled Shipping Officer to participate in the Tamheer Program, contributing to efficient shipping operations. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure comprehensive preparation for shipping activities, including organizing invoice issuance and providing customers with necessary shipment documentation.
- Maintain and update shipping transactions daily within the SAP system to ensure operational alignment.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding daily shipping demands to guarantee timely action.
- Compile relevant data to formulate shipping plans accurately.
- Identify local shipments and execute all necessary prerequisites for shipping processes.
- Organize and maintain all shipping-related documents such as shipping schedules, invoices, Air Way Bills, and shipping orders systematically.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with shipping companies to monitor shipment schedules and statuses.
- Perform additional delegated tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Demonstrate adherence to organizational ethics, integrating company values into personal conduct.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Education: Diploma in any relevant field or Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Computer Science, or related areas.
- Eligible for Tamheer Program participation: No prior engagement with Tamheer and not registered with GOSI within the past six months.
- Proficient in using job-specific software, Microsoft Office, and Internet tools effectively.
- Ability to maintain thorough communication and monitor compliance with contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency and accuracy across various formats.
- Capacity for critical thinking aimed at process improvement rather than rigidly following procedures.
- Experience managing tasks within budget constraints and striving to avoid deviations.
- A balanced approach between procedural adherence and flexible application to optimize task completion and seize opportunities.
