Shift Lead

Overview

We are seeking a Shift Lead for our Darlington store to work 22.5 hours per week under a permanent contract. The hourly wage is £14.50, complemented by a pension scheme and 6.6 weeks of paid holiday. This is a keyholder role requiring flexibility for shifts starting as early as 5am and finishing as late as 10pm.

Role Summary

As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a secure and efficient shopping and working environment. You will supervise daily store operations to ensure an excellent experience for both customers and employees. Your duties will include overseeing the smooth running of the store, allocating colleagues effectively to ensure exceptional customer service, being the main contact for both customers and staff during your shift, and maintaining store safety.

You should be able to see the store as a whole rather than concentrating on just one area, be safety-aware with a keen eye for adherence to compliance, enjoy fostering teamwork and motivating colleagues, and be confident in making timely decisions autonomously to benefit customers.
