Role Overview
Ventia is seeking a skilled SHEQ Advisor to enhance the delivery of facilities management and maintenance operations under the Auckland Council contract. This position involves collaborating closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and various stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all SHEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage and uphold a safety-first mindset throughout the organization.
- Guarantee compliance with SHEQ policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct audits and investigations to monitor and improve safety and quality processes.
- Deliver training programs related to health, safety, environment, and quality.
- Promote ongoing advancements in safety and operational practices.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of three years of experience in a SHEQ or HSE Advisor role.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma, Degree, NEBOSH, or equivalent in Health & Safety.
- In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, risk management frameworks, audit procedures, and incident investigations, preferably ICAM method.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building capabilities.
