Senior/Lead DFT Lead Engineer

About the role

SignOff Semiconductors is looking for a seasoned Design-for-Test (DFT) Lead to strengthen its expanding engineering team in Hyderabad. The role calls for deep technical command over scan, ATPG, MBIST, post-silicon bring-up, and gate-level/timing simulation, along with the ability to lead teams and drive delivery quality. Key responsibilities

• Own and guide the DFT architecture and implementation work for SoC programs.
• Perform hands-on work for scan and MBIST insertion, ATPG pattern creation and validation, MBIST verification, and GLS (gate-level simulation).
• Support post-silicon bring-up activities, including debugging and yield investigation.
• Set up and manage test-mode timing constraints and partner with timing teams to close timing issues.
• Track DFT readiness for tapeout and ensure the design meets test-quality expectations.
• Work closely with RTL, STA, and physical design teams to keep integration smooth.
• Coach junior engineers and help them adopt strong DFT practices and methods.
• Use scripting tools such as Perl and Shell to automate tasks and improve engineering flows.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI-related disciplines.
• At least 6 years of relevant DFT experience.
• Strong grasp of test coverage concepts, fault models, and DFT automation workflows.
• Previous exposure to tapeout execution, cross-functional coordination, and technical leadership.
• Good interpersonal skills and clear communication abilities.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The role also welcomes candidates with B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech backgrounds in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI.
