Role Summary

The Senior Supervisor Engineering will oversee daily engineering operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and all hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position involves leading a team to promptly address maintenance and technical issues, implementing preventive maintenance programs, managing resources effectively, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the engineering team's daily activities to uphold maintenance quality across hotel facilities.
• Lead timely responses to maintenance requests and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Administer preventive maintenance efforts for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor the use and inventory of engineering tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness standards in all hotel areas, including guest and back-of-house spaces.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth operations and minimize disruptions to guests.
• Track and prioritize maintenance tasks to guarantee efficient resolution.
• Support and guide the team on infrastructure improvements and repairs.
• Professionally handle guest concerns related to maintenance issues.
• Assist in managing budgets, cost controls, and departmental expenses.
• Train, mentor, and develop engineering staff to improve their skills and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related disciplines.
• Between 4 to 6 years of engineering or maintenance experience in hospitality, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of engineering systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical operations.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation such as drawings and manuals.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and motivating teams.
• Solid comprehension of health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Physically capable of performing maintenance duties as needed.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are a plus.
