Role Overview

The Senior Project Planning & Controls Engineer will provide specialized planning and controls expertise within BHIG’s Project Portfolio Organization. This role ensures precise scheduling, cost forecasting, and effective performance reporting to support project execution aligning with scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Ensure engineering, procurement, and construction activities are synchronized with the project timeline.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and propose mitigation tactics.
  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, cost forecasting, and cash flow analyses.
  • Monitor commitments, expenditures, and deviations relative to budget approvals.
  • Assist in monthly cost reporting and perform earned value analysis.
  • Implement project control procedures per Air Products and BHIG guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate progress measurement frameworks and performance dashboards.
  • Deliver transparent schedule and cost performance reports to stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly while ensuring contractual alignment.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate progress data.
  • Support change management processes, evaluating impacts on schedule and costs.
  • Identify schedule and cost risks, formulate mitigation strategies, and integrate approved changes into baseline plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project planning and controls within oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost control systems, and EPC execution methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is advantageous.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential preferred.

Work Environment and Additional Information

  • Position based onsite at Jubail including BHIG and customer locations with occasional travel as required.
  • This role is structured as a contractor position.
