Role Overview
We are collaborating with a prominent renewable energy developer and EPC organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist. This key position supports the delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects across Australia and focuses on strategic, commercially-driven procurement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement processes for major construction and infrastructure packages, managing stages from tendering to contract award.
- Design and deploy sourcing strategies that enhance value, competitiveness, and supply chain resilience.
- Oversee supplier interactions, tender assessments, commercial evaluations, and the selection of contractors.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with contractors, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Drive commercial negotiations and manage contract execution in collaboration with legal and commercial teams.
- Develop budgets, cost models, sourcing plans, and timelines related to procurement activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project groups to ensure procurement aligns with project goals.
- Identify risks involving commercial, contractual, and delivery aspects and execute appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to major project bids and tender preparations through detailed procurement planning and market engagement.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Has significant experience in procurement, commercial management, contract administration, or project delivery.
- Demonstrates success managing major infrastructure, energy, renewable, or industrial projects.
- Experienced in handling high-value contracts and managing complex procurement cycles.
- Commercially savvy with expertise in tendering, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and risk oversight.
- Effective at influencing stakeholders across engineering, legal, commercial, and project teams.
