Job Overview

The Senior Java Developer will lead the development, enhancement, and upkeep of banking products. This role requires delivering high-quality software solutions aligned with evolving business demands within a collaborative scrum team environment based in Bangalore (hybrid work).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features in accordance with business needs, technical specifications, security protocols, and project deadlines.
• Engage actively in agile scrum processes, collaborating effectively with team members to achieve project targets.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and propose continuous improvements.
• Follow security best practices to ensure product integrity and protection.
• Support and troubleshoot existing and new functionalities by working with the support team to resolve issues promptly.
• Keep abreast of latest technologies and industry trends, integrating innovations to enhance user experience and product capabilities.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical product issues as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational qualification of BE, B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, or MCM.
• Overall professional experience of more than 9 years.
• Extensive Java programming expertise with at least 5 years proven experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java frameworks including Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, Spring Data, and Kafka.
• Strong background in Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, relational databases (especially SQL for Oracle), cross-platform software development, and multi-threading.
• Prior exposure to the banking or financial services domain is preferred.

Critical Competencies and Skills

• Proficient object-oriented design and programming skills in Java.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Competent with Git for version control.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
