Position Overview

The Security Supervisor will oversee daily security operations and lead frontline security teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance across assigned areas. Reporting to the Security Manager, this role includes operational leadership, incident management, and maintaining security standards to protect people, assets, and facilities. The supervisor acts as an essential link between security leadership, internal parties, and security personnel to maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily security activities, ensuring security staff are correctly positioned at posts, gates, patrol routes, and reception points.
• Enforce post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), access controls, and visitor handling protocols according to managerial directives.
• Verify team attendance, manpower presence, shift transitions, and readiness before and after shifts.
• Supervise security performance through inspections, patrol verification, and address any lapses in conduct or compliance.
• Lead first response efforts for incidents, emergencies, unauthorized access, or suspicious behaviors, escalating when necessary.
• Compile daily security reports, incident briefings, attendance logs, and monitor action items for managerial review.
• Provide guidance and task allocation to security staff, ensuring clarity and compliance with instructions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, visitors, and external vendors to support security operations smoothly.
• Assist investigations by gathering statements, access logs, and preliminary facts confidentially and professionally.
• Identify operational risks, ongoing issues, non-compliance, and recommend improvements to the Security Manager.
• Support training efforts and mentorship of new and existing security personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven leadership and ability to coordinate security teams effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical security protocols including access control, patrol procedures, visitor management, and emergency response.
• Consistency in applying SOPs, post orders, escalation procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Strong communication skills to deliver clear directions and professional updates to management and stakeholders.
• Good judgment and decisiveness under emergency conditions or stressful incidents.
• Skilled in report writing including daily logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, emotional control, and accountability in all situations.
• Effective prioritization, issue resolution, and manpower coordination in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic security-related computer systems or reporting tools.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years’ experience in security operations in industrial, manufacturing, corporate, or large facility environments, including supervisory roles.
• Familiarity with access control systems, visitor management, patrolling, incident documentation, and managing security contractors preferred.
• Certifications related to security, safety, emergency response, first aid, or crisis management are advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and be reachable for urgent operational needs.
• Background in corporate security, military, law enforcement, or industrial security is a plus.
